Summary :UNIT DETAILS (Rehab-Neenah Hospital):
The Rehab unit is a 12 bed acute inpatient unit. Our average census is 7. Our most common diagnosis seen are stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and debility patients. Our average stay length of stay is 12 days. Our team is very collaborative between nursing, therapy, care management and providers who work towards progression of care and promotion of patient independence prior to the transition to the next level of care. Our Neenah hospital is a level II trauma center with a higher acuity patient population. Core therapy team members include a physiatrist, two physical therapists, two occupational therapists, two speech therapists and one recreational therapist. Our team is dedicated to the highest quality of care and fosters great learning opportunities.Job Description:

SCHEDULE:

• Rotating 12 hour shifts (days/nights: 5:30a-6p / 5:30p-6a)

• Every 3rd weekend is required to work (Fri-Sun)

• Rotating holiday schedule required

The Registered Nurse provides patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy. Through collaborative practice with members of the care team, is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by ThedaCare. Furthers the professional practice of nursing at ThedaCare by promoting a culture of innovation and a commitment to growth and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR Associates Degree in Nursing with an agreement to obtain the BSN within five years.

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of Fifty (50) pounds without assistance

• Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures
